School was closed today without more than a couple of inches on the ground. And, we live in the fearless north country. Fearless because we live with winter for 9 out of 12 months.
I'm assuming the roads were icy...? or that the flooding being covered over by snow posed too much of a risk for drivers...? Not sure. In any case, the other peculiar thing is that school is now delayed two hours tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.
eta: I guess the plows just can't handle all this snow at the end of March. It may be heavy and wet but it's funny how we had school during the winter during blizzard weather, dangerous windchills and large amounts of snow. By the end of the day, we may have gotten the 8 - 12 inches that was predicted but that didn't always close school in the winter. What a difference it must be when spring is near... ;)
