Aria has a million and one nicknames around here. We're big on nicknames. To us nicknames are terms of endearment and a show of affection and we kind of have a lot of them.
I call her 'Yah Yah', 'My Little Lovey Buggy', 'Little Miss A' and 'That Baby'. (That baby is so cute. That baby is so chubby. I just love that baby. That baby is so precious. You get the idea... I'm constantly exclaiming over 'that baby' that we just treasure and waited so long for!)
Her daddy calls her 'Ari'. And Nikayda calls her 'Boom', 'Boom Boom', 'Boomerang', or 'Bam Bam'.
And everyone calls her 'Bah-pa' or sometimes "Bah-pa-yah-yah". (That one came about simply because she said something that sounded like "Bah-pa-yah-yah' one time.)
This weekend, Mark was sitting in the recliner with his headphones on listening to something on his Tab and she looked up at him and suddenly put her hands up to cover her little ears. It was so precious. And, naturally, when we all noticed and started exclaiming over it, she kept doing it. Ah, seriously, we just loving having a baby in this house again!
{Outfit details: Target cardigan, thrifted. Vintage stork shirt, thrifted. Pop Color Pants, Old Navy. (Love them!) Moccasins, Kaboogie.}
She's picking up new things every day. I just love the newborn stage but I also love when they hit about 6 months and their little personalities start shining through. (She's almost 9 months now.)
Aria's toy box is from my cousin, Shannon. For my 30th birthday (a few years back) my parents threw me a surprise birthday party since we happened to be visiting in Michigan at the time (for the purpose of curb-side junk picking in the spring) - and they asked everyone to bring a piece of 'junk' since that's kind of my thing. It was seriously so much fun to open up those gifts! I know a lot of people can relate to my love of junk - and a lot of people can't - but it was one of the coolest things ever. I would way rather receive a fun piece of 'junk' than something brand new, any day. And that 1970's green laundry basket is one of my favorite things in our house. I love that thing.

She's like a little you! Ahh, so stinking' cute!! That is so funny about the nickname thing. We are the same way in our house and it drives everyone nuts! Lol. So happy for you:).

ha - funny about the basket!
She is so stinkin' cute!! I'm getting anxious for my new baby to arrive!
I'm loving my almost 2-yr-old and all the copying he does now. EVERYTHING Kendall says, he repeats. Just ask Molly how her convo went at lunch today with both kids sitting at the table. You wouldn't even think Bentley was paying attention, but yup, everything Kendall said, he repeated to Molly. :)

I'm totally with you in receiving "junk."
I want to see Aria baby! It makes me sad to think of how big she'll be when we see her next.
Are you doing sign language?? We have been with Isaac and it's the coolest thing EVER when he picks up a new word. (I act like we sign fluent ASL but we really just use a few words.)

Jennifer here: We have been doing signs with her - but she hasn't done them back yet. Except for waving.
